Please join us for a Closing Party with GUZMAN, and a Book-Signing of their Family Values photography book: SUNDAY at 2PM 🎉 The signing will take place after a brief Q+A with Connie and Russell A limited amount of books are available for sale at the gallery   Huge thank you to GUZMAN, music journalist Michael Azerrad, publisher powerHouse Books, book designer Naomi Falk, and artist/arts writer Carol Diehl who first conceived of the book and made the invaluable introduction to get this project started 🩷 — GUZMAN is Constance Hansen and Russell Peacock, a married couple who have been taking photographs collaboratively for 40 years This is their second exhibition at LABspace Gallery One features an installation of inkjet prints on Japanese rice paper, many incorporating collage and persimmon hand-dyeing. The couple often appear in costume with handmade masks, and disguised as ominous figures inhabiting familiar haunts. These photographs act as a visual diary of GUZMAN’s travels and inner lives Gallery Two showcases outtakes from their 1992 Kurt + Courtney photoshoot for Spin magazine, now published in photobook Family Values via powerHouse Books, with an introduction by Michael Azerrad These photographs are available to purchase, for the first time ever, at LABspace We can’t wait to see you here this weekend!
