Taconic North, the large group show of small works by 117 area artists is coming to a close at LABspace this weekend. To celebrate we have scheduled two events. Tofu, comprised of Katia Santibanez (whose work is featured in Taconic North) along with her husband, the artist James Siena. The duo performs charming songs of yesteryear as well as some of their original pieces, in English, French and Spanish. They will be joined by a short acoustic set by Black Lake (Susan Jennings and Slink Moss.) The performance will be from 6-7 this Saturday, June 10th and is free of charge.
Santibanez' work is represented in NYC by Morgan Lehman. Siena's work is represented by Pace Gallery.
Then on Sunday, June 11th from 5-7 there will be a closing reception for the exhibition to which all are invited. Homemade strawberry shortcake will be served at this event (until it runs out.) All are welcome. Please note that the gallery will not be open on Sunday other than for this reception unless by appointment.
