Friends, it’s time! We hope to see you for UPSTATE ART WEEKEND beginning TODAY. LABspace extended hours are 12-6PM Friday through Sunday. It’s also our CLOSING WEEKEND of GUZMAN’S Kurt + Courtney. After this crazy weekend, the exhibition remains on view for ONE FINAL DAY: Monday Aug 30, by appointment. Please join us!  Interdisciplinary artist-musician and Hillsdale neighbor Li will kick off our afternoon of music at 3pm. Oliver Ralli, aka Un Instrument, aka founding member of post-punk art collective PASS KONTROLwill follow at 4pm 📣

We’ve been hardcore Oliver Ralli stans for over a decade, catching his performances at our favorite Bushwick art and performance venues— including the unforgettable 2010 sci-fi rock-opera New Hope City at the Bushwick Starr Theater. Oliver’s 2018 + 2020 solo albums as UN INSTRUMENT hold permanent residence in our car’s cassette deck and cd player respectively— Smartphone Mixtape and The Lockdown Hustle, a socially-distant, pandemic-inspired collaboration with 20 fellow musicians. We met Li this past year at LABspace, as he’s been living and making art + musicright here in Hillsdale NY.
